Who We Are

Mr. Veerababu Rayavarapu, a man suffered with his polio leg and has badly curved due to polio. He is usually walking with the support of his leg with a hand. He is born and brought up in a remote village in a farmer’s family. He often suffered with poverty, stigma and discrimination being a physically challenged in the family and community. He struggled for right to have good education and livelihood option. He has a dream to working for the rights and wellbeing of physically and mentally challenged persons in the society. The dream has come true with the support of his wife Mrs. Satyaveni. She is a very kindhearted and service-orientedwomen. Both the like-minded were decided to start a home for mentally and physically challenged children and orphanage for the below poverty line and vulnerable children in the society. They decided to decrease the stigma and discrimination among people with multi disabilities in the society through sensitization and rehabilitation of the disable and child rights.

Santhivardhana Ministries is a registered non-profit social service organization working for the welfare of disabled and vulnerable sections of the society. It was formed in the year 2005 and registered under societies registration act of 2005. The two special schools were started and running at Pulimeru and Annavaram of East Godavari districts for the holistic development of more than 200 physically challenged and mentally retarded children. Initially the schools were run by the local donations and contributions from the kindhearted and service-oriented persons. This special schools have providing food, shelter, education, and health care services.
